Soilless Terrarium Workshop: A Green Adventure with the Students of SJK(C) Foon Yew 1
What an absolute delight it was to host a Soilless Terrarium Workshop at SJK(C) Foon Yew 1 on 23 July 2025! This was not only our first time hosting for a primary school, but it also marked a wonderful experience of inspiring young minds to get creative with nature.
We came with one simple goal which was to teach them how to create their own tiny and thriving ecosystems in a glass container. And it wasn’t just the students who got their hands dirty, the teachers joined in too!
It was particularly heartwarming to watch the students take ownership of their creations. Some built little jungles, while others opted for minimalist designs with just a few plants. Regardless of the design, each terrarium became a meaningful representation of their creativity and understanding of nature.
